What is process consulting with BPMN 2.0?
Process consulting makes visible how work in a company actually gets done: who handles which step, what information flows and where things get stuck. BPMN 2.0 is the internationally standardised notation (ISO/IEC 19510) for drawing such workflows. Management, business teams and IT all read the same model. On that basis you decide what to simplify, automate or support with AI.

eTurn, our product for vehicle preparation companies working for car rental firms, shows how a well-thought-out workflow translates into software. What is BPMN 2.0, and why do you use this standard?
BPMN 2.0 stands for Business Process Model and Notation and is standardised internationally as ISO/IEC 19510. The notation defines how tasks, decisions and handovers are drawn. Because it is widely used, management, business teams and IT understand the same model, and it can be reused later in many tools.
Isn't BPMN too complicated for business teams?
No. BPMN has many symbols, but most workflows need only a small share of them. We model in a way that lets the people involved recognise their workflow without prior knowledge, and we explain the model in our joint sessions. Those who wish learn along the way to read and maintain models themselves.
Which software do you model with, and do we need it too?
You do not need any particular software. We deliver the models in the format you need: usually as a graphic for manuals and presentations, or in the format of the tool you already use. That way the models remain usable on your side, even without us.
How long does process consulting take?
That depends on how many workflows we look at and how many branches they have. We clarify the scope in the intro call and the analysis. The concept then sets out which sessions are needed and when you receive which results.
How much does process consulting cost?
The cost of process consulting depends on how many workflows we map, how many people we interview and whether digitalisation follows the analysis. BIST Consulting works as a project with an agreed scope and price or with a monthly budget of hours. Before we write a proposal, we get to understand your company and your requirements. The intro call is free of charge.
Do you also carry out the digitisation?
Yes. After the modelling we automate routine steps, for example with n8n or Make, or develop the right software ourselves. Where knowledge sits in documents or many similar questions come in, our AI solutions help. Consulting and implementation thus come from a single source, and no one has to hand the concept over to a third party.
How do you take data protection into account?
Personal data turns up in almost every workflow, for example in orders, enquiries or HR processes. As data protection officers certified by TÜV NORD, we mark in the model where such data arises and is passed on. That way you see early which safeguards are needed before a workflow is digitised.
