Co-founder and Managing Partner

Daniel Bierschwale, M.Sc.

Daniel Bierschwale founded BIST Consulting together with Paul-Ferdinand Steuck in 2018 and runs the company as managing partner. He advises companies in Hanover and across Germany on AI, processes and software, and builds the solutions himself. As a data protection officer certified by TÜV NORD, with experience in data protection at an international corporation, he designs every solution for data protection from the start.

Research focus

Generative AI in design science research

He studied business informatics, completing his bachelor's degree at Hochschule Hannover in 2020 and his master's at the University of Hildesheim with distinction in 2023. Since then he has been a research associate in information systems and enterprise modelling at the University of Hildesheim, doing his PhD on generative AI in design science research. His research won the Best Research Paper award at RVI23 and was nominated for the Best Paper Award at HICSS 2026.
